I helped Acrelec find a great fit in just 1 week

Client: Acrelec
Website: https://acrelec.com/
Open Position: Frontend Developer

Background

Candidate

Adrian was known to Sorin as a good professional (and a nice person). While still being hired at a company he has been working at for several years, he was not actively applying to other jobs, but Adrian understood the importance of keeping an eye open on the market. He ideally wanted to join a company where he was able to face diverse challenges and be engaged in new types of projects.

How I worked

First and foremost, I went to the headquarters of Acrelec to meet the team, the hiring managerprios and to get a feel of the company’s culture and general requirements for this position.

I knew Andrei in advance. We had previously talked about his future plans, the development areas he’d like to focus on, and also the state of the industry and financial offerings within the market for his type of role.

At that point, after being aware of this new opportunity within Acrelec that fit his profile, we got in touch again and invited him to an informal discussion. An Americano at Starbucks could be a nice way to get updated on the latest developments in someone’s career.

We jumped to the next stage – helping him re-write his CV in a way that better highlights his experience and competencies. I sent over his CV to the company, and he passed to the new interview stages.

He has been working there for almost 3 years.

From the candidate
Andrei Buleaca

I was working at that point at a retail company in Bucharest. I liked what I was doing, but I needed a change. On the other hand, I was not actively looking for something. One of my ex-colleagues told me about Sorin and highly recommended him as a recruiter that does things differently. I had to meet him and see it for myself.
I really appreciated the fact that, although he did not have an opening at that point, we had a face to face meeting where we discussed my experience and the type of companies Sorin was connected to at that point. Sorin started from then on to keep an eye open for opportunities and also present my profile to several companies that I was also interested in.
In 1 week, I was accepting a contract.

From the hiring manager
Larisa Tănase

I reached out to Sorin at a time of great pressure on us. We needed help and we needed it fast. He was very prompt in presenting us with a highly skilled technical candidate, who later on became our colleague and stayed with us for a long time. It was great that Sorin immediately understood our need and our culture, on top of the technical requirements that were mandatory for the applicants. It took him less than 2 weeks to make it happen and he found Andrei. We highly recommend him for any technical recruitment project.
